I first started practising yoga as a form of exercise. I quickly found, however, that there was so much more to it than just the physical benefits.

My whole perspective on life shifted, my principles developed and my spirituality formed. As I became more interested in the philosophy of yoga and Buddhism I began to understand yoga ‘exercises’ as being far more than a just a form of fitness.

While they are physically rewarding they also allow you to let go of the constant chatter of the mind, pent up emotions and frustrations and to listen to something deeper; your heart.

In my experience this allows a sense of peace to infuse your body, for instincts to sharpen and kindness to radiate. I intend for my clients to leave their class feeling lighter, both physically and mentally.

I qualified as a yoga teacher in Australia, Byron Bay (www.yogaarts.com.au) in 2005. I began teaching part time whilst completing a postgraduate course in psychology and I now teach yoga full time, either in the comfort of your own home or from my studio in Oxfordshire.

I also work in London on Tuesdays & Thursdays (www.privateyogaclasses.co.uk) and am teaching group classes from my studio in South Oxfordshire on Mondays , Wednesdays & Fridays

What is Yoga?

Yoga is a complete science of life that originated in India thousands of years ago.

It is the oldest known system of personal development, encompassing body, mind and spirit.

Many people are first drawn to yoga as a way to keep their body fit, strong and supple and as an aid to relax their mind.

Those who continue with regular practise notice subtle changes in their approach to life.

Through exercising the body and stilling the mind inner peace can be found, and this is the essence of yoga practice.
